Want, need, wear, read!

Talking to a friend this week about the chaos of Christmas, I had a little moan…ahhh ‘There’s so much to buy! I feel like I’m sinking in a sea of online baskets and wish lists!!!’

Her response was, keep it simple, keep it concise, stick to a Christmas present poem.

‘What’s the Christmas present poem ?’ I asked throwing the girls Christmas lists in the air.

Keep it simple she replied. Ask only this.

Something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to read.

Suddenly it all felt better.

Clarity had sunk in and it taught me to consider every purchase for my love ones and of course myself!

So this week, I’m asking you to think about yourself and what you really really want, really really need (sorry Spice Girls moment) what you really want to wear and what you’d like to read.

Very often women say ‘Natasha you are on my wish list, I really want you, or I need you to visit and sort me out’.

Now is your time to consider if I’m a need or a want. There is a special discount code just for you below because I need/want you too!

Ok here’s mine (I’ve subscribed my husband to my newsletter!) I’ve literally done the work for him LOL.

WANT

Perfume. I have zero perfume and I LOVE perfume. If I was super rich I’d have a different scent to match my outfits. This year it is Gucci Flora that’s pulling my heart strings. Trinny, I want an appointment at Trinny London for a make up consultation. Ideally I want Trinny to do it, but I think she’s quite busy! but I you never know! Make up is SO important and I love the way she styles make up with outfits - brilliant for colour rebels like me. The stacks are also so practical and versatile. I love her!

NEED

Yes I need slippers. I have large, cold slate, often filthy floors (thanks dogs) and the thought of slipping my feet into these sheepskin beauties from Mosulu whilst I run around and wait for my rusty dirty kettle to boil (thanks mum your kettle present last year) has been used every day - it’s been fabulous but the handle is hanging off so need an upgrade. This orange Le Creuset one will sing a start to my day and match the butter dish.

My winter running leggings have holes and seeing as these are worn everyday, I think I need to replace with Sweaty Betty therma ones and Nicky Clark my hairdryer blew up!

WEAR

I’ve become very interested in underwear brand Understatement Underwear. I love the message, the styling, the realness of how women want underwear to FEEL rather than just how it looks. This leopard print sheer bra and big sheer pants will look fantastic on any woman and I’ll want to dance my pants with confidence. I am waiting for this zebra co-ord from Jigsaw to come in the sale..I think its rather ridiculous and fabulous - it will keep me going in January.

I have vintage on my list - I am still a big follower or Terra Vintage. Her pieces are fabulous, great quality and a nod to the glamour of life I have to dip my toes in daily. Finally, I met Hayley Menzies years ago at London Fashion week when she was starting her business. I adore her knitwear, her prints, her portobello story. I covet this long cardigan every year and I’ve still not bought it…one day (probably when it is vintage!)
